International Human Rights Day Conference Highlights Women's Issues and the Yazidi Crisis

Paris, France – On the occasion of International Human Rights Day, an esteemed global conference was held under the auspices of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Justice, and in the presence of French President Emmanuel Macron. The conference aimed to shine a spotlight on pressing human rights issues, with a particular focus on women's rights and the ongoing Yazidi crisis. One of the distinguished guests in attendance was Dr. Nagham Hassan, who was honored to participate and share her insights on these critical issues.

In her powerful speech, Dr. Nagham Hassan said, "Today, I am here to represent thousands of women survivors of sexual violence, who are affected mentally, physically, as well as socially. I have been living among my Yazidi community in Iraq, and I am witnessing their day-to-day challenges. It has given me the energy and tenacity to stand by them all day and every day." Her words resonated with the audience, and her strength and resilience were applauded and recognized by all.

During the conference, she also highlighted the need for international support and cooperation to address the Yazidi crisis and other human rights issues. the conference served as a call to action for governments, organizations, and individuals to work together towards promoting and protecting human rights globally.
