International Human Rights Day Conference Highlights Women's Issues and the Yazidi Crisis

Paris, France – On the occasion of International Human Rights Day, an esteemed global conference was held under the auspices of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Justice, and in the presence of French President Emmanuel Macron. The conference aimed to shine a spotlight on pressing human rights issues, with a particular focus on women's rights and the ongoing Yazidi crisis. In her powerful speech, Dr. Nagham Hassan said, "Today, I am here to represent thousands of women survivors of sexual violence, who are affected mentally, physically, as well as socially. I have been living among my Yazidi community in Iraq, and I am witnessing their day-to-day challenges. It has given me the energy and tenacity to stand by them all day and every day." Her words resonated with the audience, and her strength and resilience were applauded and recognized by all.
